Build Your Pilot Career Step by Step
The EASA 0 to ATPL(A) Modular Course is a flexible pathway for students who want to progress from zero flying experience to an EASA professional pilot qualification through separate stages of training.
Unlike an integrated programme, modular training allows you to complete each stage progressively and, where available, study theoretical subjects remotely while scheduling practical flight training around your personal commitments.
It is particularly suitable for working professionals, cabin crew, airline staff and students who want to pursue a professional pilot career without committing to a full-time integrated programme from day one.

The modular pathway takes you through the key stages required for professional pilot training:
PPL(A): Build your foundation with private pilot theory and flight training.
ATPL Theory Complete the required EASA ATPL theoretical knowledge through classroom or remote study, depending on the programme.
Flight Hour Building Build PIC experience and develop cross-country flying skills.
Instrument Rating (IR) Develop advanced instrument flying skills for professional operations.
Multi-Engine (MEP) Train on multi-engine aircraft and develop multi-engine handling and procedures.
Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) Complete your professional flight training and CPL skill test.
Final Outcome: EASA CPL(A) + MEP + IR + ATPL Theory Credit, leading to a Frozen ATPL(A) when all applicable requirements are completed.
Modular training gives you greater flexibility to progress towards an airline career while continuing your existing work, studies or aviation career.
It can be particularly suitable for:
Depending on the training organisation, theoretical training may be completed remotely, while practical flight training can be scheduled in stages.
Complete your training step by step rather than committing to the entire programme at once. This can make modular training easier to manage alongside work and other responsibilities

Selected approved training organisations offer modular training programmes in these locations, subject to availability and admission requirements.

After completing the modular pathway pilots can progress towards airline recruitment and additional professional training such as MCC and airline-specific type rating, depending on their chosen career pathway.
Whether you are starting from zero, working as cabin crew or already working in the aviation industry, an EASA modular pathway can allow you to build your pilot qualifications step by step.
